tonight i have watched a programme called.. good dog bad dog .it is investigating the welfare on our pedigree dogs.they have just showed a clip of a programme that has been shown in the uk called " pedigree dogs EXPOSED" which personally i never seen.it did look disturbing an has put me in doubt of ever attending or entertaining cruft's??did anyone see the exposed show an what opinion's do you have on cruft's an the standard of breeding and showing pets at cruft's an woth the kennel club or do you prefer rescue dogs an agree more with supporting rescue centre's than cruft's
What is your take on the pedigree dogs situation?
for example almost all cavalier with Syringomyelia pugs with respiratory problems because of their faceboxers with epilepsy, and so on...what do you think the kennel club should do or should they not do anything?but another example is the ridgeback rhodesian. there are many people I know not all that sacrifice the dogs without the ridgeback, although those are the ones that are healthy with no genes that can carry spina bifida. Or the pug, its not even in the genes anymore, you can see the problem in their face, the nose gets covered with its own skin. Don t you guys think the standards should be changed? or at least that the show dogs should not be sick, becuase people want show dogs or champions but many times those are the sickest ones?Im just giving my opinion so don t start offending me or other people that answer

there have been follow ups programs after the show was aired , and even a apology to one of the breeders that was mentioned on the Program .but there has not been a apology to other breeders , the bbc HAS always been a impartial news center , and one of the best in the world , and it not owned by news tycoons like maxwell , ETC THE BBC IS OWNED BY the public of the uk they not in it for any other reason other than impartial news if you think different please tell me why his is not here for propaganda reasons can users please comment as to their feelings on this matter after all it does have a distinct effect on dogs and their welfare pleas read and comment on the attached page........... this is also happening in australia as well as the uk news.bbc.co.uk 1 hi uk 8560147.stmthis program highlighted the problem to the kennel club and soon after some of the breed standards had been re written . This question actually comes up after I saw a interesting video on YouTube, Pedigree Dogs Exposed.I think it'll be made a little more clearer after watching the show. My question is how many people have been screwed over by buying showline dogs? What kind of problems did does that dog have? What kind of expereinces have you had with such breeders?

Just watched the god damn thing. I didn't watch it all. It seemed pretty much a big load of bullshit to me.How did they speak about YOUR breed? Did they mention it? Do you think they were right or wrong? As I said before, I didn't watch it all, so I don't know if they touched the Britanny though I doubt or the Danes.Ava Girl, I didn't quiet get to the GSD part, but I would have to agree that I am not a big fan of the GSD show lines... But I agree with you, it's getting old.
