Can you explain these pedigree dogs names please?
Hi,I am looking for a good breeder who i want to buy my border collie from and when i asked for information about her dogs pedigree she gave me the full title of the dogs she is planning to breed from so i can search for them on a database.I'm not going to give you the actual names but made up variations.Hello Betty at GoodbyeHello Bruce at GoodbyeHello Billy at GoodbyeSo does this mean that this breeder's kennels are called Goodbye?Does this mean that the dogs she is breeding from are all originally from the same kennels?Does that mean that the dogs she is breeding are related to each other?Do the names having " at" in them mean that they are not actually her dogs but just living at her kennels?I'm getting confused...Thanks

Do you think it's right that pedigree dogs are suffering for what people in the show dog world see as beauty?
Personally I think this is sick and must come to an end Check this video out youtube.com watch?v yHw2CmDlhCoWhat are your views? As for you Matt I love my dogs and how they look they're gorgeous to me and I make sure they're healthy and happy. I love white boxers in particular in the breeders eyes they're put down or cast aside as they're not seen as pedigree ... tell me that's not sick Thank you for all your answers ...I would like to add I do not disagree with the showuing of animals It's the way they're being bred I have a problem with.
Why there is not a single so called PEDIGREE DOG in whole of India ?
Is it because indians are indians . they love everything foreign including their dog.Is it because indian dogs are no good.Is it because desi dogs do not bite hard enough. Is it because india is a country of slaves and slaves can not have pedigree dogs.Is it because of our 5000 years of old civilisation which none admit. Is it because colonial hangover that dogs entered the bed rooms . Indians dogs were not allowed. Is it because the elite indians are yet snatch their umbelical knot from their colonial masters .Is it because of tropical heat and dust indians dogs remained indian dogs. But all of you are seen evading question. there were kings queens and nawabs chhote nawabs . They had plenty of time and cound have devoted their time on dog breeding etc etc . At least they could have given the task to some lower caste as their only profession . But we have no pedigree dog to export . We have sugar to export. We have software engrs to export but we have no pedigree dog. And unless we are in a position to import pedigree dogs we will never be called a developed nation as all developed nations have their pedigree dogs .What's this kenel club owners trying ? Are they offended being the His Masters club ? Show me a dog which is pure bred in India and loved and reared by indians . Indian loves pedigree dogs imported . They love every thing imported incl their fettish for white skin anything and everything. If kennel club is offeneded they must offer us proofs and explain their position.
All my doggie lovers: Have you seen the BBC special Pedigree Dogs Exposed?
What did you think? I think there's a whole other side of the situation that they haven't shown. When I watched it the other night with my boyfriend he was appalled but he does tend to get sucked in by doc's that way. The one part that tore at my heart strings was the segment on the Rhodesian Ridgebacks. So dog lovers, what are you thoughts on this documentary? Do you agree or disagree with the basic principles? Looking forward to hearing every ones opinion. Here's the link to the full documentaryvids.myspace.com index.cfm?fuseaction vids.individual& videoid 44215931Agree with your comments btlover... that's what I ment by there's a whole other side. The one lesson I feel that can be taken from the doc. is that a KC registration does not point to a healthy pup in every situation.Love everyone's opinions so far and agree with most of you. There is no justification for breeding mutts.

So I was watching that crap "Pedigree Dogs Exposed" video...?
I was browsing through my contacts' questions, came across the link, and decided to watch it I never cared to watch it before, considering it's lies .But I'm around 3 minutes into the vid, and I have a question. They're talking about CKCS that have small skulls don't remember the term , and it's causing nerve problems.Apparently colours and light will cause pain, a headache, and discomfort for the dog.The dogs pretty much seize from neurological problems. So here's my question If the dogs are in so much pain, and the owners know it why don't they do the dog a favor and put it down, instead of being selfish and letting it suffer?I really don't get it.If I had to see any of my animals go through anything of that sort, my number one priority would be to make them comfortable and safe, and if they continued in pain euthanasia would be the only way to stop the suffering.Opinions? Here's the vid vids.myspace.com index.cfm?fuseaction vids.individual& videoid 4421593130 years perhaps you haven't gotten around to learning the difference between a reputable breeder and BYBs.BYBs contribute to those health issues. They don't care about the dogs, and all they see are money signs when they look at an animal.Reputable breeders? The complete opposite. They set their life's work to producing sound, physically healthy , temperament healthy dogs.I don't believe you've read my question correctly. The OWNERS that DIDN'T breed the dogs, were the ones keeping them alive and allowing them to suffer.
What's your opinion on the pedigree dog controversy?
Ok so I came across a documentary by the BBC about pedigree dogs. Has anyone seen it? It's horrible Is this what it's like in the US with pedigree dogs? Have any of the pure breed owners had any of the problems shown in the video happen to their dogs? I know this is a ton of questions, but it was truly horrifying to watch some of the parts of the documentary. It makes me so happy that I have always owned mutts from the pound pretty much my whole life. I must admit though that I dreamed of having a pedigree dog, I have wanted a basenji for years now, but this documentary has me thinking twice about supporting something so horrible? I'm including a link to the documentary and would like to know what your opinion is on this documentary?images.google.com imgres?imgurl cdn dailypuppy.com media dogs anonymous 7262 2008071977027 IMG 0567.JPG w450.jpg& imgrefurl dailypuppy.com dogs kelly the blue heeler 2008 07 25& usg OeaEh7e RU m8IKV8VNzwPbQxxg & h 588& w 450& sz 77& hl en& start 6& um 1& tbnid CkHsbgOV6BYMrM & tbnh 135& tbnw 103& prev images %3Fq %3Dblue %2Bheeler %26hl %3Den %26rls %3Dcom.microsoft en us %26sa %3DX %26um %3D1well first off I'm in the US, secondly I know all about puppy mills. I'm not talking about them if you look at the link or go onto you tube and look up " pedigree dogs exposed" you'll see a documentary by the BBC on pure breed UKC registered pedigree dogs. Dogs that are supposedly bred by reputable breeders. In essence they are breeding their dogs to impossible dangerous standards. I was wondering if this is how it is in the US? I know no one personally in the pedigree dog breeding arena. Take a look on you tube you'll find it, and I guarentee you'll be horrified as I was.
Has anyone watched Pedigree Dogs Exposed?
I watched the first part and was on the verge of tears when i saw the King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. How did you guys feel about this documentary?dailymotion.com video x6l7hl pedigree dogs exposed part 1 of 6 animals This is part one if you havent watched it.
Mixed breed or pedigree dog?
Some people say that mixed breed dogs are better but do you think that they may carry the weaker points of both breeds when crossed. Some pedigree dogs are high breed and can have their problems too. What advice would you give.
